Please help - General SQL ERROR

My forum (fodbold.phpbb.net) has crashed and I get the following error message:

SQL ERROR [ mysqli ]

An sql error occurred while fetching this page. Please contact an administrator if this problem persists.

I have searched the support forum but cannot find any help to fix this. Others have had the same problem and has been helped by the support.
I was cleaning up in the registered users (deleting spam users) the other day and also moving people to different user groups. Maybe this has caused the problem.
I really appreciate if you can help me.
