how to receive emails for every message placed in the board?

Hi,
I'm using the phpbb forum on my website http://viewonbuddhism.org quite happily for many years now, thank you !

But I have a question, we want to use it to have a closed discussion within a volunteer organisation, and a number of people finds it tedious if they need to login to a forum, possibly to see no new messages at all... So is there a possibility to standard receive an email (or even a daily digest of messages) for every message placed in the board? If that were possible, you would combine all the advantages of e.g. Yahoo groups, but with a much better threading structure.
Any ideas?

Love & clear light,
Rudy

Hi, sorry for the long delay... I registered a forum at rudyh.phpbb.net

So actually I have two questions:
1. Is it possible to configure the forum so that members can receive an email for every entered new message?
2. Is it possible to set the forum so that unregistered users cannot see any messages?

Dear rudyh01,

1. First you should allow subscriptions in the Administration control panel--> General --> Board features. Then every user will be able to subscribe to a topic on the Forum and manage them in the User Control panel--> Overview--> Manage subscriptions section. :ugeek: :geek: :|
